SIRENS - MORAVIAN

Throughout the “post-COVID” years, the music industry in Detroit, Michigan has been absolutely booming. The Motown City is back in business, and many artists are making the city home, or embracing small bars and venues throughout their hometown to show their music to the city.

One of these musical groups is an Alt-Rock five piece by the name of Moravian. This electric group has taken the stage at many small venues throughout the state of Michigan, and some throughout other states on the map. However, this group calls Detroit their home, and their fans sure are grateful.

While an album is heavily desired and anticipated by fans, Moravian continues to deliver track-by-track. Their latest single ‘Ashes’ being one of their most heavily-promoted releases, including a highly-produced cinematic music video.

However, Moravian is back and better than ever! Releasing their newest track ‘Sirens’ to stream on June 5th, and this track is definitely their music unique. The group has never shied away from ambition, they are always bringing punky, alternative, high quality rock music to their discography. However, this track is very heavy vocally, emphasizing bass throughout. The complex and rich harmonies span through both the verses and the chorus, creating that perfect “siren sound”, melodical element that separates this track from their past releases.

It seems like throughout their last three releases, Moravian is far more concerned with the quality and cinematic elements of their tracks, working on becoming more complex musically and lyrically with each release. Having already gelled their live and studio sound together so well as a band, it is time to reach for the stars and put out music that is ever-maturing. It is safe to say that the quality and sophisticated tracks, and the visual content and promotion for these tracks, is flowing out of the group effortlessly.

This spunky new track features the individual gifts of each band member, and further showcases how they have solidified their reputation within the Detroit indie-rock scene. With a strong and thumping chorus, prominent rhythmic bassline, and spectacular harmonies that tie everything together, this is one of Moravians most complex releases yet.

If you’re local to Detroit and hunting for a new indie rock group to follow, Moravian is highly active throughout Michigan, and is likely coming to a venue near you in 2026!
