Hey there! My name is Ari Catherine and I’m a co-founder of Purple Haze Magazine! I come from a large family, most of which are musically inclined one way or another. I play bass guitar and dabble in all sorts of percussion instruments. I have 8+ pets, one being my very own pup. I started photography at shows in 2021 and have never looked back. taking still moments of life living is something I love to do, the emotion is so raw that you can feel it even through the photo. I grew up on older rock, so my fav artists are going to have to be Metallica, Greta Van Fleet, The Beatles, and Queen!

Howdy, I’m Kenzie and I’m based in the Grand Rapids area of West Michigan! Music has always been the one fool proof thing that keeps me grounded and allows me to see the beauty in the world through all the chaos. It is a dream come true to meld this passion in with storytelling and collaborating here at Purple Haze (and elsewhere) while I study to work in entertainment management/press. Outside of music journalism, you can find me working on my umpteenth novel (nothing published…yet), stalking Pinterest, or listening to the likes of The Doors, George Harrison, The Black Keys, Hozier, Houndmouth, Fleet Foxes, The White Stripes, and Stephen Stills.

Hello everyone! My name is Emily Galeas and I’m based in Ypsilanti, MI! Since I can remember, I’ve always had a deep love and passion for music. Whether it be writing about new releases from my favorite artists, writing music, playing shows or attending shows. I’m an avid traveler, and I love exploring new places and seeing live music anywhere I can! It truly is the most magical experience. Hi there! My name is Taylor and I'm based in Columbia, SC but you can find me tearing up the interstate from anywhere between Charlotte, NC to Atlanta, GA. Hi, I’m Jaye! I’ve been surrounded by music my whole life and I’ve always had a huge love for it. I play bass guitar, mandolin, violin and you can find me singing along wherever I go. I’ve always been a huge concert junkie and in 2022 I started photographing shows, I’ve been in love with it ever since. I love capturing the energy and electricity of a live show.
